Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about cinema's visual language: colour, design, lighting, composition and the details that shape what viewers notice. A strong proposal gives readers a fresh way to look, while staying grounded in what can be seen and responsibly established.
What makes a good pitch
Send a working title, the film or subject you have in mind, the central question your piece will explore and a short outline of its main points. Tell us what is distinctive about your angle and why it suits Vibrant Cinema Review. Specific, manageable ideas are more useful than broad promises to cover a whole genre or era.
Our approach
We value precise observation, readable prose and a clear distinction between evidence and interpretation. Pitches should avoid unsupported claims about intent, plot summaries that replace visual analysis and promotional copy presented as criticism. Please mention any relevant interests or relationships.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is not a guarantee of publication; we will consider its fit, scope and clarity before discussing any further work.
A film's look is part of its telling
We attend to the visible choices on screen, with room for curiosity, context and more than one way of seeing.
